UPDATE3: Fire at Norilsk TETs-2 plant extinguished – ministry

KRASNOYARSK/MOSCOW, Aug 3 (PRIME) -- The fire at the Norilsk TETs-2 plant of Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company, part of metals giant Norilsk Nickel group, that killed one person early Monday, has been extinguished, a spokesperson for the Emergency Ministry’s local branch told reporters.
The fire took place early on Monday on an area of five square meters in the electrical service department, where repair works were being carried out.
The Energy Ministry said the fire was caused by a short circuit on the current transformer.
The ministry said repair works are currently underway and there are no consequences for consumers.
